What is MOASH?
What is Michigan Organization on Adolescent Sexual Health doing with your children? How are they using your tax dollars to guide
a certain philosophy without your permission? For an overview from Citizens for Traditional Values, click HERE.

Katherine Bussard, Salt and Light Global has created an eye opening presentation on MOASH that can be viewed HERE.

How to counter MOASH
The Michigan Sexual Risk Avoidance Council (MI-SRA Council) Promotes positive youth development by empowering adolescents to achieve optimal health by partnering with parents and advocating for sexual risk avoidance through education, community partnership, and public policy. Work with your School District's Board of Education and Sex Education Advisory Board (SEAB) to implement the MI-SRA program; for more details, click HERE.

Parental Rights Reinforced by the Supreme Court of the United States
What parents can do as a result of Mahmoud v. Taylor
On June 27, 2025, SCOTUS handed down a massive win for parents in their decision under Mahmoud v. Taylor. Parents can now opt-out from all objectionable material that is taught and/or made available to their children based on their strongly held religious beliefs or moral values.

KCVN encourages parents to take back their child's public education by downloading the sample Request for Curriculum Opt-out Form in Word format or in PDF format, complete it for each child, print, sign and send it to your school. We also encourage you to be diligent in being sure the school acknowledges in writing that they have received the request and will comply.

Help KCVN on this Action Item
KCVN would appreciate a short email response through our Contact Us page or to outreach@kentcountygrassroots.org when you submit your opt-out request to your school. Also, KCVN is here to support any responses returned by the school district that are unclear and that you would like assistance with.
